Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention Glossary

20 Correctional Intervention terms

Hi, my name is Chloe, I am 19 years old. I have been studying Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention for 2 years at Ahuntsic College. My field of study is about Criminology, Law, Psychology and also about various problems that people can have in their lives. In my program, we talk about several job choices that we could have after our studies but the job that interests me the most is to work in a correctional institution, like a prison. The glossary that I made could help people that are in the same field of study than me but it could also help the one that works in a correctional institution. The word that I choose are about correctional institution and each of them are words that are frequently used. I think that if someone is new in my program and that he doesn't know a lot about correctional institution these words could help him to have more knowledge. This glossary contains certain definition and some pictures from Google and also, some definitions are from the book Actively Engaged by Nicholas Walker.
